Of course perfume doesn’t have a gender! So why then in the description do we label our perfumes as masculine, feminine, unisex, etc.? Certain fragrance notes have been associated as being masculine (think woody or leather notes) or feminine (think floral or sweet notes); and we want to help our customers find perfumes that they love and feel confident wearing. So why these associations? Who knows, it’s likely self-fulfilling. Anyway, the most important thing is that you wear whatever the heck you like!
